Analogue heat-sensing cables

Heat-sensing cables are linear fire detectors that can effectively monitor very large or poorly accessible areas. They require a very simple design and no maintenance.

Heat-sensing cables come with their own connection boxes and control units (mandatory for analogue cables).

Notes on operation:

  • Temperature peak detection via resistance variation
  • Automatic reset after an alarm, makes the cable reusable

Examples of application:

  • Fire detection for covered car parks
  • Fire detection in tunnels
  • ire detection for hard-to-reach areas

Analogue cables consist of a single conductor covered by a protective shield.

These cables must always be installed together with the proprietary control unit which continuously monitors the resistance between the conductor and the protective shield. When the ambient temperature increases, there is a change in resistivity of the conductor. When the variation is high enough, the control unit goes into alarm conditions.

System functionality is automatically restored when the conductor cools down.
